

Chocolate Frogs

Here is an interesting fact that you probably did not know. Most people think that chocolate frogs are made in a factory and then jinxed to bring them to life, but this is not true. Chocolate frogs are made with a magical substance called Croakoa (pronounced Croak-oh.) 1926 was the first year collectible cards were packaged with chocolate frogs. There are 101 collectible cards, the newest card being Hengist of Woodcroft, founder of Hogsmeade village. Harry Ron, and Hermione have all been featured on Chocolate Frogs cards to honor their accomplishments in eradicating Lord Voldemort and his Deatheaters. One of the rarest cards is Devlin Whitehorn, who founded the Nimbus Racing Broom Company. The highest price paid for a collectible card was $567.

Ingredients
1 bag milk chocolate chips or melting chocolate
Cooking Tools:
Double boiler
Chocolate frog mold
(You can buy these on muggle interweb at Amazon.com or Etsy.com.)
Chocolate frog boxes and cards
(You can buy printable PDFs on the muggle interweb at etsy.com.)

STEP 1: First order the tools you will need. It is easily available on the muggle interweb. The chocolate frogs mold is purchasable at Amazon.com or Etsy.com Just do a search.

STEP 2: You will also need chocolate frog boxes. You can purchase a printable PDF that you can save to a thumb drive and print onto cardstock at your local printer. Then you just cut them out and fold them per the instructions. It also comes with printable chocolate frog trading cards.

STEP 3: In the kitchen, you will need a double boiler. If you don't have one, don't sweat. Do like I do: put water in the bottom of a pot and put a glass bowl on top. Presto! Instant magic! It's done. Be careful, though, the glass bowl will get hot. Of course, if you have a melting charm...

Step 4: Melt your chocolate chips or melting chocolate in your double boiler, a few at a time.

STEP 5: Pour the melted chocolate into your mold. Let cool.

STEP 6: Pop them out of the mold, and *bam!* You have chocolate frogs.
